Légende :  03/06/2004. Sudan, northern Darfour, village of Birjaffa. Since the bombing of surrounding villages by sudanese air force, most of inhabitants abandonned their house and went to live in the bush in this zone securised by rebels of SLA and cease fire, but over populated. Since the beginning of war, hundreds of villages occupied by negro african tribes have been attacked and burned by the sudanese government and the the arab milicia called Janjaweed. About one million persons left their villages and went to displaced camps in gouvernmental areas or refugees camps at Tchadian boarder. Technical note: this picture was taken with a 6x6 camera.
